Park Street Subway Headhouse opens.

Architect: Edmund March Wheelwright. Wheelwright & Haven. The eight buildings on Boston Common are modeled after the subway buildings in Budapest. The buildings are renovated by Arrowstreet in 1978 and Leers Weinzapfel Associates in 1995.
